Hi, I'm Blue. As you can see, I have my own web page, too. Just like Dylan. Mom and I have had
lots of fun creating my page, so I hope you will enjoy it. I guess I get second billing because I'm the second oldest. I'm almost 11 years
old, or about 57 in human years. That makes me second in command around here. I am a blue (silver) tabby, hence the name "Blue." (Aren't they original?) Actually, Mom says my name is Blueberries and Cream because I have some light tan stripes, too. Sounds a little pretentious to me. I prefer just plain "Blue," thank you very much. Mom and Poppy rescued me from the local SPCA, too. They brought me home the same time they brought Dylan home. I was only 4 months old at the time, though. They were only looking for one cat--to replace Fritz (see Fritz's page). But I caught them at a weak moment. As they were surveying the available cats and kittens, I simply reached out a paw to them. It was so easy! Mom just melted, and I knew I was home free. It was the smartest move I ever made. For once, Dylan is right: Mom and Poppy are the best parents a cat could have. I also get tuna every day, but I don't care much for milk. I sleep anywhere I want (almost)--I prefer heights, actually. (That's because that fat cat Dylan can't get me if I'm on top of the china cabinet. Hee Hee.) Mom and Poppy play with me a lot, but never as much as I'd like. I love to play. Mom is fond of saying that I would rather play than eat. Maybe. I do love to chase paper balls. I used to chase them and bring them back, but I found out that Mom and Poppy would fetch, so I stopped. That gives me more energy for the important stuff, like chasing the balls. Now, Jet always wants to play too. He won't let me play with just Mom and Poppy, and I don't like to play if he does. Sometimes we can sneak and play when he's asleep. Mom and Poppy had me spayed, they make sure I get all of my shots, and take me to the vet whenever I get sick or get critters like fleas or ear mites. We all just went, and I lost 1/2 pound. Everyone seemed to think that was a good thing. I really hate to go to the vet. But I love to have my tummy scratched. And I love windows. I also really hate it when Dylan chases me. I always tell Mom and Poppy and they fuss at him. (Whoever told you that life is fair, Dylan?) Now, I like to chase Jet, too. Mom and Poppy don't like for me to do that, any more than they like Dylan to. I didn't want Jet and FuzzButt to butt (get it?) in on our happy home, but Mom and Poppy seemed to think it was a good idea, so we had to learn to live with it. Hey, I live with Dylan, I can live with anything! Mom tells me I'm a sweet girl, but sometimes I get just a little jealous of Jet and FuzzButt. I usually get over it, though. I don't get into trouble as often as Dylan does, because I'm a "good girl." Mom calls me "Blue Girl" and tells me I am her Princess and her "Love Bug." Huh? Anybody out there know what that last one means? I let her talk silly, because I know she loves me, and I love her. She also tells me I'm beautiful. Do you agree? Gotta go now, but I'll be back. Bye, bye. |
