| Hi! I'm Saki and here's my story. I was born here. Biscuit is my Mama, and what a wonderful Mama she is. I was the second to be born, at 12:45 am on October 5, 2002. My human Mom and Poppa were right there when I was born and made sure my Mama had everything she needed and kept her company. Along with my sisters, Poupón and Cricket, and my brother, Elton, I was born out on the sunporch. I was the first to eat solid food, and there was no stopping me after that. The plan was that I was going to go to another home when I was old enough, but my human Mom and Poppa fell so in love with me that they couldn't let me go! They are the best! After a couple of months on the sunporch, we were moved to the hot tub room to get used to the kitties that were already here. They could look at us and we could look at them through glass doors into the house. At first all of them hissed and growled at us. Before too long, Uncle Jet was coming in to eat with us and sorta made friends with us. The others took longer, though. My human Mom and Poppa believe in spaying as soon as possible, so I was spayed when I was 13 weeks old. Didn't slow me down a bit--played with my sisters and brother as soon as we got home from the vet. I'm an independent sort of kitty. I'm very demanding when it's dinner time, and I love to be petted but I DO NOT like to be picked up. I like to climb up on the kitchen counter--or anything for that matter, and one of my favorite things to do it to walk on the top of a door like it's a tightrope. My human Mom gets real nervous when I do that. I sleep with Mom most nights and I like to walk on her chest because she'll pet me when I do that, even in the middle of the night! Another of my favorite times is in the morning when Mom gives us all treats to keep our teeth clean. She tosses them and we jump and chase them all over the kitchen. It's fun! I'm a gray tuxedo girl with a little spot of white on my rump. Mom says I'm beautiful, and I suppose she's right. My nicknames are Socks or Spot. Very original, huh? |
