Tobacco surely was designed; To poison, and destroy mankind.
       Philip Freneau

Smoking cigarettes, cigars, and pipes as well as the use of smokeless tobacco products, such as chewing tobacco and snuff, increase the risk of many different diseases. Though it is best not to start using these products, stopping the use of tobacco after years of use is beneficial to health. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to stop smoking. Only about 10 percent of smokers who stop are able to stop permanently.
