Smoking Hazards in the Workplace Logo
I asked a coughing friend of mine why he doesn't stop smoking. 'In this town
it wouldn't do any good,' he explained. 'I happen to be a chain breather.'

Most people know that smoking is bad for them, and 9 out of 10 people would like to quit. In the last few years, increased emphasis has been placed on developing smoke-free workplaces, largely instigated by non-smokers who object to inhaling second-hand smoke. In addition to the negative health impact of smoking in the workplace, there is the economic impact of increased smoker illness and lost work hours as a result. The goal of this page is to provide information about the hazards of workplace smoking and what can be done about it.
